SPOKANE, Wash. — Rumors circulated online over the weekend about the permanent closure of a beloved Spokane bar, but the owners took to social media to let patrons know the bar will remain open for now.
Online posts claimed that Zola was permanently closed. The speculation ranged from the bar's live music lineup not being updated through the weekend to others claiming they heard the news from Zola staff.
On Monday, the owners of Zola took to Facebook saying they are working hard to keep the bar open and reviewing all the options they have. The post did not share specifics about any issues they are facing.
"We know you have all heard conflicting information about Zola closing," the owners said in a Facebook post. "We are working incredibly hard to work through all the options and find the best way forward that provides for our incredible staff and serves our amazing customers as much as possible. We promise to provide more information for you as soon as we have it."
The post said Zola will be open as normal through December and shared the music lineup scheduled for the rest of this week.
"Thank you for your patience and support through a difficult time," the post said. "We will provide more details the second we have them."
