CHENEY, Wash. -- They're rolling out the red carpet in Cheney today, as in laying down the turf for the Eagle's new football field! Crews laid out the first few swaths of thevivid turf at 7:30 Wednesday morning.
Former Eastern Washington University offensive lineman Michael Roos donated $500,000 to make the change. He plays for the Tennessee Titans.
The red turf project will be done soon, which means folks can see it in person for the September 18th opener when the Eagles host rival Montana.
