Some residents in Winthrop without running water

Okanogan County Emergency Management says Winthrop Public Works is investigating the issue and requests that residents limit water use.

WINTHROP, Wash. — The Town of Winthrop is experiencing an issue with its water system, leaving some residents without running water. 

Okanogan County Emergency Management (OCEM) issued the notice on Sunday at 8:30 a.m. and says that Winthrop Public Works is investigating the issue. 

The Town of Winthrop asks that residents and businesses limit their water use. 

The issue comes after a temporary water pump was installed on Thursday, Nov. 21 due to a main pump failure on Nov. 20. 

OCEM says an update will be provided as soon as possible.
