SPOKANE, Wash. — Windsor Elementary School and Westwood Middle School were placed on lockdown Wednesday afternoon. It has since been lifted.
According to Cheney Public Schools, suspicious people were spotted near Windsor, forcing the lockdown. Cheney Public Schools found the individuals, and law enforcement said there is no threat to the community.
Cheney Public Schools said all after school events have been canceled.
The school district also said buses 63, 74 and 86 from Windsor have already left campus. Cheney Public Schools said the remaining buses will return to pick up students and complete routes.
