SPOKANE, Wash. — Evacuations for a 10-acre wildfire near Moses Lake have been dropped and the fire is fully contained.

According to the Grant County Sheriff's Office (GCSO), firefighters are working to mop up the fire. GCSO said they found the person who caused the fire. They were issued a citation for 2nd degree reckless burning, a gross misdemeanor.

Deputies say, firefighters worked to get the fire under control after a wind shift caused it to catch on unburned fuel and burn towards homes. No homes or structures were damaged.

The Sheriff's Office is reminding people a county-wide burn ban went into effect Saturday.
