State Route 28 reopened as firefighters continue to contain wildfire

A wildfire burning near Ephrata, Washington closed State Route 28 in two places for a brief time.

EPHRATA, Wash. — As of 5:40 p.m. on July 21, Grant County Fire District 13 says State Route 28 is reopened. 

They say travelers should continue to use caution as firefighters continue to work on containing the fire. 

The Grant County Sheriff's Office says the road was closed at SR-28 and 283 as well as SR-28 and Neva Lake Road.
