Level 2 Evacuations lifted following third-alarm fire in East Wenatchee

EAST WENATCHEE, Wash. — UPDATE: All evacuations have been lifted and roads are now open in the area, according to the sheriff's office.

A third-alarm fire prompted Level 2 Evacuations, meaning prepare to leave at a moment's notice, in East Wenatchee.

According to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office, the fire near 4th and Webb Street was pushed by high winds in the area, prompting the Level 2 evacuations in the following areas:

  • Batterman Road
  • Anderson Lane
  • Keane Grade Road
  • Sageland Road

The sheriff's office said Batterman Road between the Pangborn Roundabout and Keane Grade Road was closed as crews worked in the area.

The sheriff's office asked people to avoid the area.
