Evacuations lifted for Bridge Creek Fire burning north of Keller

The fire has burned an estimated 3,000+ acres but evacuations have been lifted.

NESPELEM, Wash — Evacuations have been lifted for a wildfire burning in Nespelem, Washington. 

According to a spokesperson for the Colville Tribes Environmental Trust Program, all evacuations have been lifted. 

Bridge Creek Road is reopen. Fire crews are still in the area, so travel with caution. 

Several roads remain closed so that firefighters can work to contain the fire and keep residents safe. The closures are as follows: 

  • SanPoil Road
  • Keno Mine Road
  • 30 Mile Road

The fire was sparked on July 19 about 11 miles north of Keller and has since burned roughly 3,950 acres and is 43% contained.  

According to an update from the Colville Tribes Environmental Trust Program on Thursday, firefighters are monitoring the line on the Bridge Creek Fire, removing snags that may fall on Bridge Creek Road. Firefighters are also mopping up along the fire perimeter with a main focus along Highway 30.
