OKANOGAN COUNTY, Wash. — Three fires burning in Okanogan County are under control Monday evening, according to the Okanogan County Sheriff.
The fire were burning near Tonasket, Conconully and Okanogan. The sheriff said the fires are believed to be sparked by lightning. Department of Natural Resources crews were on scene of all the fires working to put them out.
Level 1 evacuation notices are in place Monday afternoon for a wildfire burning near 189 Dry Coulee Road. DNR officials said it is about four to five acres. The sheriff said all county resources have left the scene
Officials said people living in the area should be aware of their surroundings and take action if needed.
County resources also left the scene of the fire near Conconully.
Around 4:35 p.m., the sheriff said crews were just getting to the scene of the fire burning in Tonasket near White Stone Flats. The sheriff said county resources have left the scene.
