SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. — The Spokane Valley Fire Department responded to a brush fire near 5600 North Malvern Road in Otis Orchards on Sunday afternoon.
SVFD says additional crews were requested to help contain the fire and asked people to avoid the area so that crews could work safely.
As of 2:20 p.m., SVFD says the forward progression of the fire has been stopped.
