Fire crews stop spread of eleven-acre brush fire in Chattaroy

According to Watch Duty, the fire burned several trees before SCFD4 contained the fire.

CHATTAROY, Wash. — Spokane County Fire District 4 says the forward progression of an eleven-acre brush fire burning uphill in Chattaroy has been stopped.

According to Watch Duty, the fire burned several trees and additional units were requested.

Authorities initially discussed issuing evacuation orders, but none have been officially released.

Fire District 4 said due to the increased potential fire danger because of high winds, they will have extra staffing and an extra brush truck on shift for Wednesday.
