Latah County Sheriff's Office says people can return home following active fire in Troy, Idaho

TROY, Idaho β€” The Latah County Sheriff's Office said people can return to their homes following an active fire that broke out in Troy, Idaho.

The Latah County Sheriff's Office said they evacuated homes due to an active fire burning in Troy, Idaho. No official evacuation notices were issued.

According to the sheriff's office, deputies evacuated anyone who lives southeast of 1295 Driscoll Ridge Road because of the fire. Deputies say the fire moved to the southeast, and anyone who is in the area of Driscoll Ridge was advised to evacuate immediately.

The sheriff's office said the fire has been cleared, and anyone who sees new active flames is asked to call 911 and stay off the roads so emergency responders can respond and attend to the fire.
