With the additions of Washington State (WSU) and Oregon State (OSU) as affiliate members beginning this season, the West Coast Conference (WCC) schedule expands to 20 games stretching over 11 weeks.
The regular season games will continue to be on Thursdays and Saturdays beginning on December 19 and ending on March 1. Each week will feature 5 matchups, as they fight for the confewrence regular season title and top seed for the 2025 Credit Union 1 WCC Basketball Championship.
The WSU Cougars will make their debut in San Diego, while the OSU Beavers will pllay their first game at home against Pacific.
Returning WCC member Gonzgaga, completed the 2023-24 season a perfect 16-0 in conference play, will open WCC play at San Francisco.
Both Washington State and Oregon State are coming off NCAA postseason runs. The Beavers advanced to the NCAA Sweet 16 and finished ranked No. 8 in the final Associated Press national poll, while the Cougars advanced to the semifinals of the WBIT.
All five major award winners from last year return for the 2024-25 season. From Gonzaga, WCC Player of the Year and WCC Defensive Player of the Year Yvonne Ejim, and WCC Sixth Woman of the Year Maud Huijbens. As well as WCC Freshman of the Year Zeryhia Aokuso of Saint Mary's and WCC Newcomer of the Year Freja Werth from San Francisco.
