SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash — The Washington State Courts Network has officially been restored.
The courts were shut down earlier this month due to a cybersecurity threat.
According to the Spokane County Clerk, the office is working on a backlog of over 22,000 documents.
Here are the resources the Spokane County Clerk says are available and temporarily unavailable, along with other information you need to know.
Available services include the following:
- In-person filing of paper documents
- Electronic court record searches
- Electronic payment processing
Services that are temporarily unavailable include the following:
- Electronic filing shut down until 1:00 p.m., December 2, 2024
- Filing of certain Writs
Here is what else the Spokane County Clerk said the public should know given the recent restoration of the network:
- The Clerk's Office will stay open during regular business hours
- Normal filing processes have been restored (unless specifically noted)
- Normal payment procedures have been restored
- Backlogged documents must be entered sequentially
- Backlog should be cleared by December 12, 2024
