Two people dead after a Northeast Spokane shooting

The shooting was first reported around 11 p.m. Friday night. Major Crimes Unit is looking for anyone who may have surveillance video.

SPOKANE, Wash. — One man and one woman are dead after a shooting late Friday night in northeast Spokane.

According to the Spokane Police Department (SPD), there were multiple gunshots heard near Cleveland Avenue and Cuba Street. SPD's Major Crimes Unit is currently investigating the deaths as of Saturday afternoon.

SPD said they arrived at the scene around 11 p.m. They found one man dead in a car. One woman was found dead on a nearby road.

The Spokane County Examiner's Office will release the two people's identities at a later time. SPD's Major Crimes Unit is asking anyone with possible surveillance video, or anyone who witnessed what happened to call SPD at (509) 456-2233.
