CARDIFF, Idaho — Idaho State Fire Marshal Knute Sandahl says that the bodies of two people were found on Thursday inside the rubble of the Atkinson Distributing gas station in Cardiff, Idaho.
Officials believe that both of them were inside the gas station when the tanker exploded.
The bodies are currently being identified by the Clearwater County coroner, who will notify their families.
Atkinson Distributing Manager Jeff Adams confirmed that the two people airlifted to Seattle with severe burns were Atkinson employees.
According to Atkinson Distributing's website, the gas station was only used during logging season.
Fire Marshal Sandahl says the cause of the explosion is still under investigation and could take several weeks to figure out.
