SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. — A pedestrian died at the hospital following a crash on Highway 27 at Valleyway Avenue Friday night.
According to Washington State Patrol (WSP), the southbound lanes of Highway 27 at Valleyway Avenue in Spokane Valley are still closed for the investigation.
WSP originally reported the crash as an injury collision, further saying that first responders were performing CPR on a pedestrian that was hit by a car in the area.
WSP provided an update that the pedestrian who was hit by the car was later reported dead at Sacred Heart Medical Center.
WSP is asking drivers to avoid the area and find alternative routes as law enforcement investigates.
