The project is scheduled to be completed and ready for opening in June 2025.

CHENEY, Wash. — A groundbreaking ceremony for the brand-new Cheney Aquatics Center will be held on June 13 at Hagelin Park.

The City of Cheney describes the new facility as having a 5,000-square-foot pool house accompanied by a 500-square-foot community meeting room. It will also have a six-lane, 25-yard lap pool, a lazy river, a water slide, a zero-depth entry pool with spray features, as well as other aquatic amenities.

The new building was designed by NAC Architecture, while Walker Construction will handle the construction.

Work is slated to begin within the next few weeks starting with site surveying, planning already being underway.

The project is scheduled to be completed and ready for opening in June 2025.
