Sunday morning fire destroys metal shop in Stevens County

The fire began around 2 a.m. and was quickly extinguished, according to Stevens County Fire officials.

STEVENS COUNTY, Wash. — A fire destroyed a small metal shop early Sunday morning in Stevens County.

According to a Facebook post from the Stevens County Fire District, crews responded to the fire around 2 a.m. The business was off of West Tumbleweed Drive in Suncrest, near Nine Mile Falls. Firefighters brought the fire under control quickly.

Fire officials said no one was hurt, and that the fire was caused by improper heating. 

Stevens County Crews were helped by Spokane County Fire District 9 and Deer Park emergency officials.
