Spokane Valley mom surprised with new car from coworkers, Spokane Quaranteam

Leah Ray Jackson, a mom of four and a medical assistant at the Native Project previously relied on Spokane Transit to transport her family.

SPOKANE, Wash. — A Spokane Valley mom was left speechless Friday afternoon after her coworkers and the Spokane Quaranteam surprised her at work with a new car. Leah Ray Jackson, a mom of four and a medical assistant at the Native Project previously relied on Spokane Transit to get her kids to school and herself to work.

Rick Clark and the Spokane Quaranteam raised enough money to buy Jackson and her family a brand-new van.

"The one thing everybody says about you is that you show up to work every day with a smile, and so I asked my friends on Facebook," Clark said. "I've got about 35 thousand friends on Facebook, and they helped us raise enough money in one day to buy you this. Come on, you've got to give me a hug."

Jackson also received $200 in gas cards and a year's worth of car insurance.
