Spokane Valley Fire Department extricates man pinned in car underneath semi-truck on I-90

According to the Spokane Valley Fire Department, units were dispatched to a crash on eastbound I-90 near the Barker exit just after 4 p.m. Friday afternoon.

SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. — A driver who was pinned in their car under a semi-truck on I-90 in Spokane Valley was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

According to the Spokane Valley Fire Department, units were dispatched to a crash on eastbound I-90 near the Barker exit just after 4 p.m. Friday afternoon. 

The fire department said the call was upgraded to a heavy rescue due to reports of a vehicle underneath a semi-truck with a driver trapped inside.

The fire department said the driver who was pinned under the semi in their car was safely extricated and was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
