UPS plane diverted back to Spokane just minutes after takeoff

SPOKANE, Wash. — A UPS plane that took off from Spokane International Airport was forced to return after being in the air for under an hour.

According to FlightAware, UPS Flight 2993 took off at 6:48 a.m., then was diverted back to Spokane International Airport just after 7 a.m. and landed at 7:36 a.m.

KREM 2 has contacted the airport and law enforcement and is waiting to hear back with more information.
