SPOKANE, Wash. — Spokane Tribal Police announced on Monday that one of their officers was attacked when responding to a scene on Sunday.
In a Facebook post, they say a Tribal Officer was dispatched to Corkscrew Canyon. When he arrived on the scene, he contacted a 21-year-old male.
Officers say they deployed their tasers twice and both were ineffective.
A fight then ensued and the officer was injured.
When more Spokane Tribal Police showed up they tased the suspect again multiple times before he was taken into custody.
The injured officer received stitches in his face and will return to duty when they are ready.
