SPOKANE Despite the downward economy, one local car dealership is banking on an upcoming move. Camp Subaru will be re-branded as Subaru of Spokane and will be relocating to a familiar downtown car spot.
The former home to the Empire Ford dealership on Third and Stevens in downtown Spokane will become the new location for Subaru of Spokane.
Workers say they are busy making way for the dealership.
'We'll have an indoor showroom that will probably have 30 to 35 cars,' Subaru of Spokane Manager John Lefriec said. 'It will be climate-controlled so people will still be able to shop when it's too hot or too cold outside.'
Manager John Lefriec says he has no worries about relocating. He says they will become one of the biggest Subaru dealerships in the country with the new location being nearly 50,000 square feet.
They say the dealership will open its new doors on December 20th.
