SPOKANE, Wash. — Spokane was ranked in the top 100 places to live in the U.S., according to Livability.
Livability referenced Spokane's affordability, many activities and abundant nature as some of the Lilac City's strongest assets. The website scored Spokane with a 749 quality of life Livscore out of 1000.
Other cities included on the list were Merdian, Idaho and Tacoma, Washington.
Livability chooses the best by taking in each city's amenities, economy, housing, cost of living, safety, education and health. The website only chose cities with a population between 75,000 and 500,000.
The website praised several Spokane staples like the Bing Crosby Theater, The Garland District, and the Centennial Trail.
"Spokane’s economy is diverse, so much so that it is considered a central hub for the Inland Northwest, including parts of Washington, Idaho, Montana and Oregon," said Livability's blog post.
