SPOKANE, Wash. — Zumper has just released their national rent report for April and Spokane and Seattle have made the list for both increases and decreases in bedroom rent.
The average national one-bedroom rent increased by 0.5 percent to a median of $1,214, while the price for two bedrooms grew 0.6 percent to $1,445, according to the apartment listing website.
Spokane was ranked as the 83rd most expensive city to rent in.
The price of a one bedroom unit in Spokane grew 1.4 percent to $750, while two bedroom units fell 1.1 percent to $900.
Seattle was ranked the 8th top city for most expensive rent. The price of one-bedrooms increased by 1.0 percent to $1,990, while the price of a two-bedroom unit decreased by 2.7 percent to $2,560.
Notable increases in rent include Providence, RI with a 4.9 percent increase to $1,510 for a one-bedroom unit, and Baltimore, MD with the largest one-bedroom unit decrease at 3.9 percent to $1,230.
