SPOKANE, Wash. — The Spokane Police Department is investigating a reported shooting that occurred on Friday, Nov. 22 in south Spokane.
SPD says officers responded to the area of East 29th Avenue and South Southeast Boulevard due to a reported possible shooting. Officers were advised that an altercation involving three people was observed in a parking lot.
SPD says one witness advised that one of the involved parties displayed a handgun, firing it several times before fleeing the area.
SPD says as additional information was obtained, it appeared the gun involved may have been an air soft or similar type of weapon.
Officers canvassed the area but did not locate any of the involved subjects and no victims contacted officers or 911.
SPD says officers did contact several subjects during the investigation but discovered they were not associated with the incident. One arrest was made for an unrelated warrant issue.
