Spokane Lilac Festival announces 2025 theme: 'To Spokane with Love'

The new festival committee president says the theme is dedicated to the volunteers who make the festival possible.

SPOKANE, Wash. — The annual Spokane Lilac Festival Association (SLFA) announced the theme for the 2025 event as "To Spokane with Love."

The theme was announced along with plans for the festival and the induction of new leadership for the upcoming year at a SLFA gathering in downtown Spokane.

The festival committee president, Jamie Dedmon, is in her inaugural year and says the theme is dedicated to the committee staff, past presidents and the volunteers who make the festival possible.

"...to all of you, you are my daily inspiration, and I have decided to dedicate this year's theme to you," said Dedmon in a press release.

At the gathering, the 2024 festival co-presidents, Elisabeth Hooker and Carly Cortright, reflected on last year's event that hosted nearly 80,000 participants.

SLFA says the 2025 theme will honor the volunteers who work every year to make the festival a main community event in Spokane.

The 2025 pin design was also unveiled. The pin was designed by Dedmon's nephew, Nick Fogel, and seeks to represent the celebration of community love.
