SPOKANE, Wash. — Spokane city crews finished up the full-city plow on Sunday, four days after it was first activated.

According to city officials, city snow response teams began working on the full-city plow on Wednesday after a major snowstorm hit the region. City crews worked on priority routes for 24 hours, before moving on to neighborhoods and arterial streets.

Spokane's Public Works Department said they plowed almost 2,200 lane miles of roads. If streets have not been plowed, residents can report it by calling 311.

This week's expected rain and climbing temperatures will likely melt away ice and other compact snow left behind from the recent storm. As a result, the city now plans to work on clearing street drains to prevent flooding.

However, with about 12,000 storms drains within city limit, officials said residents can help them by checking on nearby storm drains and making sure they're clear before the warmer weather moves in.
