SPD investigating possible child luring incident

Spokane PD is investigating a possible child luring incident involving two pre-teen girls.

It happened Tuesday around 6 p.m. near Franklin Park. They were approached by a male stranger on Whitehouse Street just north of Queen Avenue.

He asked the girls for directions to a business and asked them to come closer to his car. SPD said he told the girls they were pretty and asked if they were models.

He did not ask them to get into the vehicle, SPD said in a release.

The man was described as clean cute, white in his early 20s, with brown curly hair and a goatee. His car was described as being a newer white Ford Echo or something similar with dark tinted windows. He didn’t have Washington plates.
