SPOKANE, Wash. -- Spokane County's community action agency SNAP has offered a variety of services to low-income homeowners in need of help after the wind storm.

SNAP said they can provide 12 Presto logs or a half cord of wood, frozen pipe repair, pilot light relighting for heat or hot water tanks, minor roof repair, broken windows, moving branches (but not removal) to allow critical access to your home and reattaching the power mast to homes.

The City of Spokane provided funding to allow SNAP to provide with the above mentioned services.

Additionally, wood delivery from Airway Heights Correctional Facility is available for low-income Spokane County residents.

SNAP said they are offering emergency help to those who have received a shut-off notice for heat or are out of heat at their Armory office (212 W 2nd) or Valley office (Spokane Valley Partners, 10814 E. Broadway). Those in need can also call (509) 456-SNAP.

SNAP offered power for people to charge their cell phones at the two downtown SNAP offices: 212 S. Wall and at the Armory 212 W 2nd. There are 15 spots at each office in the waiting area.

Tuesday's wind storm knocked power out for 180,000 at the height of outages. Avista representatives said they had progress in the days since, but still had around 100,000 customers without power Thursday night.
