Red and blue flashing radar speed sign won't ticket drivers

The road near 37th and South Stone Street has a sign that tracks your speed, but with an enhanced kick to it. However, there is nothing to worry about, you won't receive a ticket if your speed triggers the lights.

SPOKANE, Wash. — Flashing red and blue lights have a tendency to make a driver's heart race so here is a heads up if you are driving along 37th Avenue in Spokane.

The road near 37th and South Stone Street has a sign that tracks your speed, but with an enhanced kick to it. The radar speed sign flashes red and blue and looks like police lights; however, there is nothing to worry about, you won't receive a ticket if your speed triggers the lights.

The city said the point of the sign is to simply get drivers to slow down.
