SPOKANE, Wash. -- Washington State Patrol said a moose caused a car to run off eastbound on Interstate 90 Saturday at around 7:30 and sent two people to the hospital.
The collision happened 11 miles west of Spokane. Margarita Boeckmann, 34, was driving a Toyota Camry with Andrea Munez, 16, in the passenger seat.
They were traveling east when they struck a moose and traveled
up and down the embankment for 100 yards. They ended up in the eastbound ditch.
Boeckmann and Munez were both sent to Deaconess Hospital and were both wearing seatbelts. WSP did not give an update on car passengers or the moose's condition.
