SPOKANE, Wash. – Rapper Macklemore and producer Ryan Lewis are apparently in Spokane possibly filming a music video.
Several people took pictures of the two on blocked off streets Downtown in front of a camera.
Macklemore's publicist is not commenting on his appearance in Spokane. The local production company filming in the locations where he was spotted has not commented either.
KREM 2 News cannot specifically confirm that he is shooting a music video.
Employees at Imprezzio Marketing shared photos of Macklemore on Downtown streets. They are located at the American Legion building that is on Washington just down the street from where the group was filming.
City of Spokane leaders said local production company North by Northwest has several permits to close off streets for filming. One of the locations was Washington in between Sprague and Riverside. The location is right by Imprezzio and they started tweeting about it. One of their employees said they loaned some personal makeup equipment to someone on set.
The production crew moved down Washington closing off the street between 2nd and 3rd.
The city of Spokane said North by Northwest has permits for several other road closures for filming throughout the week. Most of the locations are in or near Downtown.
