RICHLAND, Wash. – The prosecution called Teresa Weed to the stand on Thursday in the James Henrikson murder-for-hire trial.

Henrikson is the accused mastermind behind the murders of Doug Carlile and KC Clarke. The trial is being held in federal court in Richland, Washington.

Weed was married to Todd Bates for 17 years. She told the court they divorced in 2015. Bates plead guilty to conspiracy to commit murder-for-hire in September. He could face between seven and 10 years in prison and a judge has rejected a previous plea deal.

Weed told the court Bates rented a car to go to North Dakota. She said she was asked to get rid of pills after one of his trips.

Weed added that she has known Robert Delao, who was also involved in the murder-for-hire case.

According to Weed, she heard Bates say he was going to be put on a list for not finishing a job. She said her ex-husband was a gang member who went by the name T-Dog.
