Road crews have repaired a sinkhole at South Grand Blvd. and Rockwood Boulevard that caused a day-long road closure.
Around 11:45 a.m. Tuesday, Spokane police asked drivers to use an alternate route through the area because the northbound lanes were blocked.
Crews on scene said a water leak caused the roadway to collapse and they were to evaluate how much damage the leak did under the road. Officials said they need to figure out how much gravel and material they need to fix the road.
Crews said the sinkhole was five-and-a-half to six feet deep and about seven feet wide.
