SPOKANE, Wash. — The City of Spokane announced Tuesday that it will be implementing all day parking meters in select locations.
The City said it received overwhelming feedback in favor of the proposed parking changes. KREM 2’s Rob Harris is gathering more information and received this photo of where parking meter changes will be implemented as soon as next week.

KREM 2 conducted a Facebook Live video earlier in August to see what some of our viewers thought of the proposed changes. The responses were overwhelmingly in favor of implementing longer parking meters downtown.
There are possible pros and cons to the anticipated changes. Citizens will be allowed to spend more time at downtown businesses and boost commerce. The con, however, is a potential result in less rotation of cars downtown, preventing drivers from finding open spots.
