SPOKANE, Wash. – The Mobius Science Center is getting a new home in the heart of Spokane – inside the old Spokane Water Plant building. They are celebrating their grand opening with a brand new exhibit that is sure to provide an out-of-body experience.

With the grand opening scheduled for Friday, they are letting the first 1,000 people in for free! Ribbon cutting begins at 10:00 a.m. and there will also be a new addition – the Bodies exhibit. Now that portion of the event is not free, there is a $7 charge for that exhibit.

The “Bodies Human: Anatomy in Motion” exhibit will display real human specimens in an effort to facilitate understanding of our bodies, how they work, and what keeps them working the way they should.

It is recommended that children only attend if they are at least 10 years old and are accompanied by an escort who is at least 16-years-old.

The exhibit will run from Friday all the way through December 31, 2016.

Avista Utilities has agreed to supply Mobius with a permanent location in the Washington Water Power Building on Post Street for just $1 a year and the Free Community Day is being sponsored by Washington Trust Bank.

The address for the new Mobius is 331 North Post Street.
