CHENEY, Wash.—A threat at Betz Elementary School on Tuesday forced teachers to move students to Cheney High School around 1:10 p.m.
An employee at Cheney H.S. confirmed around 2:00 p.m. that her school was on lockdown because they had taken in the students from Betz Elementary.
KREM 2 News is working to gather additional information about the validity of the threat.
The Betz threat was one of two reported in Spokane County on Tuesday. By 2:22 p.m., the lockdown had been lifted and the students had been returned to Betz Elementary.

Someone had also called in a threat to Jefferson Elementary School in the Spokane Public School District. The Spokane lockdown ended just before 2:00 p.m.
