How to find all Spokane County Interstate Fair events

With ten whole fun-packed days, the fair can be a quite the undertaking. Here's how you can find the schedule.

SPOKANE, Wash. — The Spokane County Interstate Fair kicks off on Friday, September 6 and promises a full ten days of family fun. 

The fair will host everything from classic fair food to concerts to fluffy cows, so here's a brief rundown of what you can see and enjoy at the fair. 

The fair runs on weekdays from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., on Fridays from 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m., Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. 

A full, detailed itinerary of the fair's daily events can be viewed on the fair website under the "2024 Fair Program" tab. 

Tickets to the fair can be bought online or at the ticket booths in advance or at the gate on the day guests want to attend. Food, drinks, games and the Grandstand Events have additional costs. 

The main carnival games and rides open at 3 p.m. Monday through Friday and at noon on weekends, while the Kiddie Land carnival rides open daily at noon. 

One of the most popular attractions at the fair, the animal barns, will be open most days until the fair closes. 

Cedar the Highland Cow, exotic animals, bunnies and more will be at the fair for everyone to visit. To view the full lineup of animals, when they will be at the fair and a map of where they will be located, visit the "Animals at the Fair!" tab on the fair website. 

The fair will have over 35 food vendors with a variety of food, including classic fair food. According to the fair's website, outside food will be allowed at the fairgrounds for those who need or want to bring food from home. 

On the first day of the fair, Friday, September 6, events will include things like a Barnyard Animal Race, the first meet and greet of the fair mascot Bo the Goat and the Grandstand "Tough Enough to Wear Pink" rodeo. 

The rodeo will have another performance on Saturday, September 7. Other Saturday events include a drum and dance performance by the Spokane Tribe Indian Village at 1 p.m. and line dancing performances in the morning. 

Various demonstrations and performances such as butter making and illusionists occupy the days between big events. 

On Tuesday, September 10, the fair will have Sensory Day. The fair will offer craft-making, meet-and-greets and carnival rides and games will operate with no sounds or lights from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. to create a calmer, more inclusive environment. 

On Tuesday night, Clay Walker and Eddie Montgomery will perform on the main stage at 7 p.m. Tickets for the concert are an additional $40 to $75. Tickets can be bought on TicketsWest.

On Wednesday, September 11, veterans, military and first responders can enter the fair for free. The day will be headlined by the 7 p.m. concert by country singer Ian Munsick. 

The Grandstand concerts will close out on Thursday, September 12 with Flo Rida at 7 p.m. The daytime events include other performances such as Lumberjack shows and Sheepdog Herding demonstrations. 

Although the concerts come to an end, the fair promises more Grandstand spotlight events and family fun throughout the remaining days. 

On Friday, September 13 the highlight of the day will be the 7 p.m. Truck & Tractor Pull. Some other fun events to check out include Irish Storytelling and free cornhole. 

During the final two days of the fair, the main event will be the Demolition Derby. 

The Demo Derby takes place on September 14 at 7 p.m. and again on September 15 at 4 p.m. Ticket prices range from $8-$13 per person, not including fair admission. Tickets can be found here

The final weekend also hosts events like a llama performance, a pumpkin carving contest and much more.
