SPOKANE, Wash. — As snow begins to pile up on the mountains, ski resorts and parks are getting ready to welcome people to the slopes.
Here's a rundown of when local mountains will open the doors for the winter 2024-2025 season.
Mount Spokane Ski and Snowboard Park:
- Opening day is Saturday, Dec. 7 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Saturday, Dec. 21 through Sunday, Jan. 5 the mountain will be open for holiday break 7 days a week. Hours will vary during holidays. You can view the full calendar here.
Schweitzer Ski Resort:
- Opening say is set for Friday, Nov. 22 at 9 a.m. Operations will run through Sunday, Nov. 24 before closing for Thanksgiving week. Trails will reopen for daily operations for the season on Friday, Nov. 29.

Lookout Pass Ski Recreation Area:
- Lookout Pass held its opening day on Friday, Nov. 8.
- The mountain aims to be open Friday through Sunday until early December when they hope to be operational seven days a week.

Silver Mountain Resort:
- Silver Mountain is set to open on Saturday, Nov. 23 at 9 a.m.
- Chairlifts, the Carpet Lift and tubing will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays and from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Fridays.
- Beginning the week of Sunday, Dec. 15, the mountain will be open 7 days a week. Hours and operations will vary. Visit the Silver Mountain website for a full calendar.
49 Degrees North Mountain Resort:
- 49 Degrees North plans to officially kick off Winter Operations on Friday, November 22.
- The resort will operate 5 days a week, Friday through Tuesday, until it begins its 7-days a week operations beginning Dec. 20.
