Here's when Mt. Spokane, Schweitzer and other local ski resorts will open for the winter 2024-2025 season

Get ready to hit the slopes! Several local ski parks and resorts will open the lodge doors and ski lifts as mountain snow begins to pile up.

SPOKANE, Wash. — As snow begins to pile up on the mountains, ski resorts and parks are getting ready to welcome people to the slopes. 

Here's a rundown of when local mountains will open the doors for the winter 2024-2025 season. 

Mount Spokane Ski and Snowboard Park: 

  • Opening day is Saturday, Dec. 7 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. 
  • Saturday, Dec. 21 through Sunday, Jan. 5 the mountain will be open for holiday break 7 days a week. Hours will vary during holidays. You can view the full calendar here.

Schweitzer Ski Resort:

  • Opening say is set for Friday, Nov. 22 at 9 a.m. Operations will run through Sunday, Nov. 24 before closing for Thanksgiving week. Trails will reopen for daily operations for the season on Friday, Nov. 29. 
  • You can keep an eye on mountain conditions and what ski lifts and trails are open with the Schweitzer Mountain Report webpage.

 Lookout Pass Ski Recreation Area:

  • Lookout Pass held its opening day on Friday, Nov. 8. 
  • The mountain aims to be open Friday through Sunday until early December when they hope to be operational seven days a week. 
  • You can keep an eye on the snow report and mountain conditions through the Lookout Pass snow report webpage. For hours and schedules, you can visit the Lookout Pass website or their Facebook. 

Silver Mountain Resort: 

  • Silver Mountain is set to open on Saturday, Nov. 23 at 9 a.m. 
  • Chairlifts, the Carpet Lift and tubing will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays and from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Fridays. 
  • Beginning the week of Sunday, Dec. 15, the mountain will be open 7 days a week. Hours and operations will vary. Visit the Silver Mountain website for a full calendar. 

49 Degrees North Mountain Resort: 

  • 49 Degrees North plans to officially kick off Winter Operations on Friday, November 22.
