Emergency crews respond to plane crash at Coeur d'Alene Airport

COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho — Emergency crews responded to a plane crash at the Coeur d'Alene Airport Monday morning. 

Photo and videos sent in from the scene by KREM 2 News viewers show what appears to be a plane crash in an open field at the airport. 

KREM 2's content partner the Couer d'Alene press reports that first responders extracted the pilot flying the Cessna 310 and transported them to Kootenai Health in stable condition.  

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.

Editor's Note | Initial reports indicated a single-engine plane crashed. The size of the engine has not been confirmed at this time.
