No gun found during Wallace High School lockdown

Authorities said the student was been bullied, which may have led some to believe the rumors that led to this event.

SHOSHONE COUNTY, Idaho—Deputies searched Wallace Junior/Senior High School on Monday because of a tip that a student may have brought a gun to class.

The Shoshone County Sheriff's Office confirmed that someone walked-in to tell deputies about the possible threat around 10:30 Monday morning. They reported that a male student may have a handgun.

Wallace High School administrators put the school into lockdown mode.

Meanwhile, deputies separated the student in question from his classmates while authorities searched the campus.

Deputies did not find any weapons in the school. They concluded that no weapon was brought on campus by the student. Deputies also found that the student had made no threats toward other students, or faculty and that no crime had been committed.

Authorities said the student was been bullied, which may have led some to believe the rumors that led to this event. Deputies will be investigating the allegations of bullying.
