Search for missing 77-year-old woman from Okanogan County unsuccessful so far despite massive search

WAUCONDA, Wash. — The Okanogan County Sheriff’s Office is still looking for an at-risk/missing 77-year-old woman in the area of Grouse Spring Road in Wauconda.

The sheriff’s office said Lucy Burns left her home with her two dogs just after 1:30 p.m. on August 10. She was last seen between 5:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. walking back to her home near Toroda Creek Road on Cougar Creek.

Okanogan County Search and Rescue began their search late on the evening of August 10. During their search, they found one of Lucy's dogs who had wandered back to Burns’ home.

The search has consisted of over 90 people including searchers on foot, canine teams, drones and a helicopter.
