SPOKANE, Wash. — The Spokane County Regional Animal Protection Service will offer its second free spay-neuter clinic on Sunday, Nov. 17 from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
SCRAPS says the clinic seeks to decrease the overpopulation of dogs as the community continues to experience a significant increase in the number of pregnant dogs and litters of puppies being left at shelters or abandoned to wander as strays.
Registration for the clinic is required and there is a refundable or donatable reservation fee of $25.00. All donations will be used to fund similar events in the future.
Those hoping to participate can sign up at the SpokaneSNIP website.
SCRAPS asks that people not contact them directly and directs people with questions to reach out to the rescue partners.
All scheduling and follow-up medical questions will be managed by the Northeast Washington Spay and Neuter Alliance team. Vaccines (Rabies and DA2PP) and microchips will be offered by SCRAPS for free for dog owners residing in Spokane County.
“Spokane County SNIP” will include several local organizations and volunteers, including:
- Northeast Washington Spay and Neuter Alliance (NEWSNA) will provide a mobile surgery trailer, surgical medications and liability insurance for labor/licensed professionals, scheduling and follow-up.
