Rosauers Chief Operations Officer retiring after 50 years with company

SPOKANE, Wash. — Rosauers Chief Operations Officer (COO), Mike Shirts, retired Saturday, February 3 after spending 50 years with the company. 

According to Rosauers Chief Executive Officers (CEO), Cliff Rigsbee, Shirt started at Rosauers in 1974 as a bag boy in Moscow,.

“He tenaciously worked up the corporate ladder until he became the Chief Operations Officer as well as the SVP of Merchandising and Marketing in 2000," Rigsbee said. "This means he managed every aspect of the business from people, placement, pricing, promotion, product.”

According to a press release sent by Rigsbee, during Shirt’s time at the company, he led charitable efforts in Spokane such as Tom's Turkey Drive and Rosauers Diaper Drive.
