Road closures on Coeur d'Alene River District for timber harvests

COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho — The Idaho Panhandle National Forests (IPNF) announced a portion of Forest Development Road 1511 about nine miles north of Fernan Saddle will close on weekdays through October 18. 

The closure is due to timber harvests on nearby lands in the Coeur d'Alene River Ranger District, in order to ensure public and contractor safety.

The closed road segments include the portion of Forest Development Road 1511 from the intersection with Forest Development Road 2377 to intersection with Forest Development Road 1511D, and the portion of Forest Development Road 1511 from mile post 1.6 to 4.36.

Closures will last from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mondays through Fridays through October 18. The closure will not be in effect on the weekends.
