Spokane and North Idaho pumpkin patches and farms to visit this fall

From Green Bluff to Coeur d'Alene, here are some of the regional farms to visit for pumpkins, corn mazes, fresh apple cider and more.

SPOKANE, Wash. — Spooky season is around the corner. And with that comes candy, fun decoration and, of course, pumpkins! 

If you're looking to fulfill your pumpkin patch dreams, here is a list of some places you can pick out pumpkins this Fall. 

Walters' Fruit Ranch - Mead, WA

The Fall Festival at Walter's Fruit Ranch, a member of the Green Bluff Growers, is open every Saturday and Sunday through October 27. 

You can attempt to make your way through their corn maze, hop on the World Famous Fruit Loop Express and pick your own pumpkins right off the vine. There is also local hard cider or craft beer at the Press Plate Bar, for the adults to enjoy. 

A Festival Wristband is $15 and includes the Barnyard, Jumpland, Giant Corn Maze and Wiggle Worm Ride. The Adult Wristband is $10 and includes the Barnyard and Giant Corn Maze. The parking ticket is $5, and is not included with the purchase of the wristbands. Note that parking reservations are required for the weekend festival. Tickets are available now here.

Beck's Harvest House - Colbert, WA

The Fall Harvest Festival at Beck's Harvest House, a member of the Green Bluff Growers, is open Saturdays and Sundays through October 27. 

Their fall festivities include a giant corn maze, world-famous pumpkin donuts and pumpkin land. Beck's is also hosting live performances sponsored by BECU throughout the Fall Harvest Festival. 

To enjoy the fall harvest festival, a Funland Wristband is $12 and for senior guests 65 years or older, the wristband is $6, not including service fees. The parking pass is $5 and is not included with the wristbands. To get your ticket, click here

Prairie Home Farm - Coeur d'Alene, Idaho 

Prairie Home Farm is open every Wednesday and Saturday in October from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Every other day throughout the month, they are open for field trips, barn rentals, and birthday parties.

The farm is a five-acre, 100-year-old farm featuring pumpkins, fall produce and decorations. 

Admission is $3. The pumpkins are $0.49 a pound and all other fall produce prices as marked. Plus, you can get a feed bag for $7 to feed all the animals around the farm while picking pumpkins. 

In a special deal to celebrate the farm's 20th birthday, you can get free admission to the farm and pumpkins for only $0.20 a pound on October 6 from 12 to 5 p.m. They will also have face painting, food vendors and crafts as part of the birthday celebrations. 

Hidden Acres - Mead, WA

Hidden Acres, a member of the Green Bluff Growers, is open every day from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. 

Including pumpkins, you can also pick apples, blackberries, garlic or flowers. A full list of what's in season can be found here. Hidden Acres charges for their boxes and bags, but you can bring your own containers for a $0.10 pound discount.

Hidden Acres accepts cash, all cards, EBT (including produce rewards), crypto, Venmo, and trade. 

And the farm is dog-friendly, as long as you keep your pet leashed. They have their own free-roaming farm dog named Bella who is friendly and loves to play with people and other dogs!

Middleton Farms - Pasco, WA

Middleton Farms is open every day through November 2, with varying hours depending on the day. 

All pumpkins picked from the patch are $0.39 per pound, with a wheelbarrow provided to help get them into your car. There is a whole range of pumpkins to choose from, including Cinderellas, gourds, mini-pumpkins, giant pumpkins, Blue Jarrahdales, Knuckleheads, Sugar Pumpkins, Jack O' Lanterns, and Swans.

The Fall Festival at Middleton Farms has a plethora of activities for the family to enjoy, including a Lightning McQueen and Tow Mater-themed Corn Maze, fireworks shows on Saturday nights, zip lines and fresh apple cider and pumpkin donuts.

Admission tickets range from $15.95 to 18.95. Groups of 15 or more will receive $2 off each ticket at checkout. A season pass for Middleton Farms' entire 2024 season is $49.95 each.
