PULLMAN, Wash. — The Pullman Village Centre Cinemas announced on Facebook that it is permanently closing on Thursday, September 5.

They say the closure is due to economic reasons, including the City of Pullman admissions tax, increases in property taxes and increasing minimum wage laws in Washington state.

The theater has been operating for 21 years as the only theater in the small Pullman community.

The theater staff points people in the direction of the Moscow and Lewiston theaters which remain open for business.

"Please come and help us make these last few days at the Pullman Theatre memorable! Grab your tickets, enjoy those final showings and let us celebrate the wonderful times we've had together," the theater wrote on Facebook.

Tickets and movie showtimes can be found at the Pullman Village Centre Cinemas website.
