POST FALLS, Idaho — Post Falls native Jeremy McComb has been nominated by the British Country Music Association (CMA) for their International Single of the Year Award for his 2024 song "Granite Stone," written after McComb returned to Post Falls for the funeral of an old friend.

McComb is nominated alongside Post Malone and Morgan Wallen's song "I Had Some Help" and Chris Stapleton's "White Horse."

McComb was born and raised in Post Falls and began his music career at age 16 by playing with the Kelly Hughes Band in Stateline, Idaho.

McComb also worked at a Spokane radio station, becoming the youngest music director in the company at the time.

McComb's career in entertainment took off with his work in tour managing and writing comedy songs for Larry the Cable Guy. McComb's contribution earned him songwriting credits on several movie soundtracks, including the 2004 Grammy-nominated "Blue Collar Comedy Tour Rides Again."

McComb returned to Stateline in 2014 to purchase and reopen the Nashville North music club, which remains a venue for live music in the Pacific Northwest.

McComb has recently toured throughout Europe and the United Kingdom, headlining at festivals and building a strong fanbase overseas and within the U.S.

"I'm incredibly honored to be nominated for this award," said McComb. "Being recognized on an international stage is something I never expected, but it's a testament to the love and support I received growing up in the Pacific Northwest."

The British CMA awards ceremony takes place in January of 2025.

McComb has a new single set to release on October 28. McComb is set to return to Post Falls for a concert on December 6. For more about McComb and to see his upcoming tour dates, visit his website.
